AAP stranded

Sir — This refers to the article, “Modern Don Quixote minus the innocence” (April 23) by Rajesh Singh. The writer has candidly described the escape route which Mr Arvind Kejriwal has preferred to adopt rather than face the adversities which he had claimed to ward off in his election campaign in the Delhi Assembly election.

Mr Kejriwal had presumed that by resigning from the Chief Minister’s post, he would become a martyr and gain benefits in the lok Sabha election. But here too, his presumption is unlikely to bear fruit, as various opinion polls have given his party just a couple of seats in his stronghold of Delhi. His party is likely to draw a blank elsewhere in the country.

Mr Kejriwal should have thought twice before filing his nomination against Mr Narendra Modi. He is under the illusion that if he could defeat Ms Sheila Dikshit, he can also vanquish Mr Modi.
