A case of jitters

Published on:

Sir —This refers to the report, “Guilty should be punished: Shinde on Ishrat Jahan case” (July 4).

Reportedly, when the lashkar-e-Tayyeba itself accepted that Ishrat was one of its cadre, where is the question of it being a fake encounterIJ The CBI and the so-called ‘secular’ Press is desperate to denigrate Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi.

What else explains the sudden cropping up of the Ishrat Jahan case, days after Mr Modi hit the headlines following his appointment as the BJP’s Election Campaign Committee chief. Obviously, the Congress is getting jittery over Mr Modi’s rising popularity.
