Sir — This refers to your editorial, “Imran’s Pakistan” (July 27). Pakistan is all set to have a new Prime Minister. It is worth watching how cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan performs in his political foray. He is well-known for his charismatic and articulate persona as it extends well beyond the national boundaries.
It also remains to be seen how India-Pakistan relations progress under the leadership of Imran Khan but nonetheless the new leader brings with him a sense of hope and promise for fruitful relations with India.
It is to be appreciated that the electorate in Pakistan have rejected the terror groups who participated in the elections. It is no time for speculations — how Imran Khan goes ahead with his new assignment remains to be seen over the time.
