Sir — It is an irony that politicians across party lines have coloured themselves in particular colours, with the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) choosing blue and reserving saffron for the BJP.
The BSP, being guilty of colouring the complete State of Uttar Pradesh in blue during its regime, is amongst the opposition parties who are accusing the BJP Government to paint the State in saffron.
Such colouring of institutions and buildings according to the taste of ruling political parties is unnecessary burden on the State exchequers funded by hard-earned money of taxpayers. It will be better if some specific colours are selected for big cities with consensus of the ruling and the opposition parties.
