Sir — The passing away of Acharya of Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam Jagadguru Pujyashri Jayendra Saraswathi Shankaracharya, is a great loss to the nation. We have lost a revered saint of present times who was the guiding force for countless of devotees in the country.
Kanchi Mutt was known to be rendering great service to the society at large by way of running many schools, eye clinics and hospitals and other public welfare institutions. He was a reformist saint who always kept himself engaged in nation-building. He will continue to live in the heart and minds of countless of followers for his exemplary service to the society.
