Sir — This refers to the report, “Yashwant floats Rashtra Manch, Shatrughan & others join group” (January 31). It is disgusting to see political failures and discards like Yashwant Sinha and Shatrughan Sinha to come together in a new outfit to start a movement against the policies of the Union Government”.
Both the Sinhas were members of the first NDA Government but were not taken on board by the Modi Government in 2014. Yashwant Sinha’s son, Jayant Sinha was included in the present Cabinet. In a naked display of duplicity, Yashwant Sinha claims that his Rashtra Manch would be “a non-party political action group and is not against any party”. But in the same breath, he asserts that his forum would “start a movement against the economic policies” of the BJP Government.
“Everybody in the BJP is living in fear. We are not,” he said. Sinha may attract some media attention, but judging him from his recent forays as a BJP basher, one does not visualise any future for aged, disgruntled individuals like him.
