Sir — This refers to the editorial, “Wheels of Justice” (November 3). The election watchdog’s proposal to the apex court to make a law debarring convicted legislators for life from contesting elections and the latter, in turn, asking the Centre to prepare within six weeks a roadmap for the establishment of fast-track courts as also to allocate funds for them comes as a masterstroke. It has also, in one go, put an end to any contingencies arising out of these MlAs and MPs who have been staying in office and manipulating the system expediently. After all, fast administration of justice will serve as a strong deterrent to those who exploit slow process of justice delivery and get away with it.
