The fact that Guha’s charge came within a day of the journalist’s killing underlines his utter irresponsibility. Over two weeks have passed since the Congress Government in Karnataka ordered a probe and still, there has been no evidence, not even arrests. A few other liberal activists, namely, MM Kulburgi, Narendra Dabholkar and Govind Pansare, were murdered similarly in the last two years, though, their cases have made no headway. Yet, our supposedly great, knowledgeable historian, acting as a prosecutor, jury and judge, has already given his verdict.
