Sir — The Quit India Movement was launched by Mahatma Gandhi on August 8, 1942, during the World War II, demanding an end to British rule in India. It is very difficult for the current generation to imagine what it is to be without freedom or being treated like a slave. One must recall Mahatma Gandhi’s quote, “Freedom is never dear at any price. It is the breath of life. What would a man not pay for livingIJ”
