Sir — This refers to the editorial, “Adityanath’s acid test” (July 4). Indeed, when a State is infamous for witnessing highest number of acid attacks, it is gravely important that the State Government does not take its foot off the pedal and order an independent inquiry in the case where, despite having round the clock security, the victim was attacked. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will have to act fast and tough as law and order is one of the worst issues he is faced with. A speedy justice to acid victims will surely act as a deterrent in the future.
