Sir — This refers to the editorial, “Tough time for Britain” (June 6). The United Nations is too disunited to take any meaningful action. The West and the liberals must be partly blamed for the spread of Islamic terrorism. While it should have been nipped in the bud a long time back, people believed that terror had no religion and entertained pious hopes that a vast majority of Muslims will not support terrorism. People thought that by way of benevolent attitude, the Islamists could be brought back to the fold. We forgot that worldwide, terror had a religion. Now, the world must unite and fight before it is too late.
