Sir — Despite the seemingly frantic efforts of the present dispensation in Tamil Nadu to ‘clear the air’ on J Jayalalithaa’s death by first getting a UK specialist and Apollo Hospital chairman, Pratap Reddy, to issue statements, and now by releasing this bulletin from the AIIMS, it will be wrong to conclude that apprehensions about the suspicious, happenings have been either dispelled or laid to rest.
This so because the extreme secrecy and denial of any information during Jayalalithaa’s treatment, with no direct access even to the Governor, besides many another relatives/VIP visitors, has never been, nor looks likely ever to be, explained satisfactorily. Just one person apparently controlled everything. There was no accountability whatsoever about the most important functionary of the State.
