Sir — This refers to the report, “Joginder Singh leaves for his heavenly abode” (February 4). It is disheartening that Joginder Singh, who has written numerous articles for The Pioneer, expressing his anguish and ire against corruption in various walks of public life, is no more to enlighten us with his revolutionary views and suggestions.
Singh had always been bold and forthright in his crusade against corruption. The way he rose up from the deplorable state of life to create a distinct niche for himself in every coveted post that he held, is a matter of great inspiration for all.
If we have a handful of such brave and sincere persons, who are determined to fight corruption and raise voice for the upright, corruption in politics can be rooted out to a large extent and the nation can achieve great progress, surmounting the hurdles that the dishonest and greedy politicians use to create.
