Sir — This refers to the article, “Families in politics stunt rise of cadres” (January 16) by Balbir Punj. look at Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi. He was born with a golden spoon and has never lacked anything, even though he cannot earn even a penny by the sweat of his brow. Just because of his birth, he has become the prime ministerial candidate of the Congress. The growth of family political parties is not good for our democracy. Thank god, the BJP is largely free from this evil
