Sir — This refers to the editorial, “Don’t shoot messenger” (January 14). The uploading of videos on social media by the Armed Forces personnel as a tool to rake up their grievances, is not only unfortunate but an unpardonable act of indiscipline. Indian Army chief General Bipin Rawat has rightly warned the soldiers to desist from such acts. But, the act of political opposition and the secular media in joining the indiscipline, are far more grievous and immoral to be taken care of.
While the Supreme Court frequently interferes into the affairs of the executive and issues on Hindu religious places, why does it turn a blind eye to such acts that are detrimental to the country’s securityIJ
