Sir — This refers to the editorial, “President Donald Trump” (November 11). Donald Trump’s win is a defeat for pollsters, self-proclaimed opinion makers and arm-chair critics. It somewhat has resemblance to the 2014 lok Sabha elections in India, wherein every TV anchor and also many political pundits were of the view that the BJP would emerge as the single largest party. The ground reality turned out to be different. It has been the same in the US.
