Sir — This refers to the editorial, “Needless brouhaha” (November 2). One fails to understand what’s wrong with the media which is hell bent to add fuel to fire by supporting the liberals who have glamourised the suicide of an ex-serviceman over one-rank-one-pension.
Sadly, no one is talking about the security guard who was killed by the terrorists who slit his throat while escaping the jail. Time has come that the Government, instead of being defensive, should officially declare that whenever there is a jail-break, if any police personnel is killed during an operation, the terrorist must be killed. There is no need for any probe or clarification.
