Sir — This refers to the editorial, “Endangering our wildlife" (November 1). Hunting and killing of animals has now become a hobby. While murdering humans is a crime, killing and wiping out an entire genre of animals is hardly given consideration. This because hunting has become a tradition and is supported by the powerful. Moreover, there is no strict legislation to ban hunting. The protection of animals Act only covers captive and domestic animals.
