Politicising matters

Published on:

Sir — This refers to the report, “Auto, school set on fire amid shutdown” (October 28). Former Jammu & Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is right to condemn the separatist forces, but his criticism of the State Government is politically motivated. Politicians must stand united in combating anti-State and anti-national elements. The trouble in Jammu & Kashmir is inwardly rejoiced by political adversaries because they want the State and the Centre to earn bad name so as to wrest power in the next election.

Abdullah is blaming the Government as if nothing had happened during his regime. The State Government should withdraw security protection from the separatist leaders. They must be treated as anti-nationals playing into the hands of an enemy country, before the Indian state gets turned into a laboratory of terrorists.
