This refers to the editorial, “Chabahar and beyond” (May 25). Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s just concluded visit to Iran will further expand political, cultural and economic ties between India and Iran, who share longstanding civilisational ties.
On the other hand, the Chabahar agreement will be a game-changer for regional connectivity as India will have an alternative route to Afghanistan and Central Asia. Intelligence-sharing between Iran and India will be of great help to both the countries.
