This refers to the report “Fireworks after cracker carnage” (April 11). This is yet another demonstration of the truth that even god will not interfere to set right man’s monumental stupidity in defying commonsense. The Kollam tragedy reeks of arrogance, as, reportedly, some local politicians used their clout to negate orders against the holding of fireworks display at the temple.
