This refers to the report, “HC raps BCCI, suggests shifting of IPl out of Maha” (April 7). Water is the foundation of life and we are living under conditions of water scarcity. The idea of clean drinking water being supplied from taps will remain a distant dream.
In view of this, Indian Premier league matches should not be played in Maharashtra as the preparation of grounds requires huge amounts of water. We face an energy crisis, but we can work on alternative and renewable energy resources. When it comes to water, there is no alternative.
