Sir — This refers to the editorial, “Calypso’s back in cricket” (April 5). West Indies, through its milestone victory in the T20 World Cup Cricket tournament, has established itself as a major T20 power.
On the other hand, the West Indies women cricket team too clinched the ICC World T20 title, thereby giving the country enough reasons to celebrate for a couple of days. Keeping in view the strife between the West Indies Cricket Board and the team, the victories shows the players’ indomitable spirit to fight against all odds.
