Sir — This refers to the editorial, “An act of a statesman” (December 28). Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to lahore to meet his Pakistani counterpart was a welcome move. Mr Modi’s visit to Pakistan was the first by an Indian Prime Minister in 11 years. His initiatives on foreign policy are commendable. Both countries must now enhance bilateral contacts and work together for good relations.
