This refers to the editorial, “Boosting energy security” (December 14). The problem with the Tajikistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline is that it passes through dangerous territories. The pipeline can easily be blasted off by terrorists to even their dues with India. Perhaps, India will do better to keep its focus on oil supplies. Already global oil prices have dropped significantly — India should capitalise on this moment.
