Sir — This refers to the article, “On Netaji, official response big let-down” (August 29) by Ashok Malik. The BJP had promised us an ‘open, transparent and systems-based Government’. Is the refusal to declassify the Netaji files part of this promiseIJ The same is the case with the Henderson Brooks report on the 1962 Himalayan blunder. The media has clearly highlighted the Union Minister for Finance’s double-speak on this aspect. After promising one-rank-one-pension, the Government’s procrastination does not indicate transparency. I’m afraid Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s credibility is taking a hit.
