Sir — This refers to the editorial, “A strategy gone wrong” (August 12). It should be now clear that the Congress has adopted a hardline strategy to oppose any and every proposal of the Modi Government. It knows it has nothing to lose from its position of 44 seats, but it believes that it can make the BJP pay for defeating it comprehensively in the lok Sabha election. It has been acting as an opposition party to the extent that it is even questioning the role of our Armed Forces, who have been combating infiltrators.
To the people, the role of the Congress in opposing for the sake of opposing is no less dangerous than that played by armed infiltrators across the border. As a history buff, I now understand how centuries back, Indians could not offer a united face against adversaries from the West. The same DNA runs now.
