Pakistani and terror group Islamic State flags are being routinely hoisted by separatists in Kashmir in the absence of any exemplary action against them. The media highlights these incidents, which is relished by the militants because they get publicity. An important aspect that is ignored by politicians and thinkers is that no Muslim leader or religious group, such as the All India Muslim Personal law Board, has condemned or even talked about these anti-national groups. It is their national duty to come clean on the activities of the militants. Even the editorials in many dailies have not been strong enough. But they speak in one voice in favour of commuting Yakub Memon’s death sentence.
