Union Minister for law and Justice Sadanand Gowda claimed that Mr lalit Modi perpetrated his wrongdoing during the Congress-led UPA rule, but the UPA Government did not act against him. The alleged wrongdoing included that of Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje’s son, with her full knowledge.Ms Vasundhara Raje, though then in the opposition camp, too availed herself of sundry benefits. The UPA did not disturb her lest its own leaders themselves got entangled into bigger troubles.
