Sir — This refers to the editorial, “Green cover exposed” (February 2). The editorial aptly sums up the extent to which remote-control over legitimate Government decisions by outsiders stymied the effective functioning of the Congress-led UPA regime, which was one of the principal causes for its coming to grief in all the recent elections.
Ms Jayanthi Natarajan has not only blown the lid off the carefully cultivated myth of non-interference by such outsiders, but she has also reinforced the allegations and charges made in books by Mr Sanjaya Baru, Mr Vinod Rai and Mr Natwar Singh, besides elucidating how crippled Mr Manmohan Singh was as the Prime Minister in his decision-making.
