Sir — This refers to the Shiv Sena’s criticism of the Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar’s remark that it is not the NCP’s job to ensure a stable BJP regime in Maharashtra. While the Shiv Sena is right in its criticism, it has itself to blame for the situation. The uncertainty has been created by the Shiv Sena which refused to join the State Government and provide stability. It allowed its ego to come in the way of the continuation of an alliance with the BJP in the State. Mr Uddhav Thackeray’s party sided with the Congress in opposing the Devendra Fadnavis regime.
