Delayed justice

Sir — This refers to the article, “Strengthening the long arm of the law” (October 6) by Joginder Singh.

The writer has been candid in expressing concern over the tardiness in our judicial system to bring elected representatives accused of corrupt practices, to book. If the courts deliver such judgements, then this dictum of Jonathan Swift will no longer  hold good: “laws are like cobwebs, which may catch small flies, but let the wasps and hornets break through.”
