Sir — This refers to the article, “Stop riding roughshod” (October 3) by RC Acharya. It is indeed improper to tamper with the set legacy of the Indian Railways.
The author is right to advocate the primacy of the Railway Board in decision-making. But, will the political interference endIJ It is the board members alone who can manage the affairs as they have the expertise as well as the experience to handle the vast railway network and administration.
