Immature leader

Sir — This has reference to the report, “Rahul mocks Modi for playing drums in Japan” (September 5). The reaction of Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi shows nothing but his frustration and immaturity.

As he lacks the ability and charisma to lead the Congress, he is trying to find fault with every word and deed of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Inflation or electricity shortage is in no way connected with Mr Modi’s visit to Japan (which was a great success), or his playing of drums there. In fact, the Congress, which has ruled for many decades, is more responsible for the poor state of affairs in the country.

In politics, it is common that rivals criticise one another. But Mr Gandhi has been facing the heat of dissent from his own party leaders in various States. Yet he has been able to do nothing. Surely, he has to learn a lot from Mr Modi, as indirectly indicated by Mr Digvijaya Singh recently.
