Sir — This refers to the report, “Modi, Sonia in no holds barred battle” (April 1). Fierce debates between major political adversaries are inevitable in election campaigning. But, unfortunately, these assume bitterness when one side questions the patriotism of its rivals. This is what Congress president Sonia Gandhi has done. Casting aspersions on the patriotism of BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi is offensive and provocative.
