Sir —This refers to the news report, “Rahul for Adarsh report review, silent on sanction” (December 28) by Deepak Kumar Jha. Mr Rahul Gandhi has re-enacted the same drama which had taken place after the ‘ordinance’ on tainted leaders was passed in Parliament. 

The only difference this time is that he has qualified it as his ‘personal opinion’. On the same note, Mr Gandhi has deliberately avoided expressing his ‘personal opinion’ on the Governor of  Maharashtra refusing to allow the CBI permission to prosecute former Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan for the Adarsh housing society scam. 

It is hard to believe that Mr Chavan was not in the loop when this decision was taken. Also the Maharashtra Cabinet’s decision to dump the Adarsh commission report must have had his blessings. Mr Gandhi should refrain from offering lip service about cleansing public life. 

Also, the the Aam Aadmi Party’s Government should initiate a probe against Congress Ministers in Delhi.
