Sir — Senior BJP leader Yashwant Sinha is himself an economist and he should have known that the ongoing downslide of the rupee is the result of a global slowdown. As such, his strident demand that the UPA Government resign on the issue does not make any sense.
Even if the Congress-led regime decides to quit, will the succeeding BJP-led NDA be able to deliver the goodsIJ If so, then let the BJP seriously confabulate with the UPA and suggest steps to bring the economy on track, in the larger interest of the country and the people.
