Minister for Health and Vocational Training Ashutosh Tandon said that the Yogi Government is in favour of construction of Ram temple at Ayodhya but the people should wait for the Supreme Court verdict on the issue. Tandon was speaking to reporters after attending the famous Chowk Ram lila at Faizabad on Tuesday night.
Stressing that he as a Hindu devout and was in favour of resolving the contentious Ram Mandir issue through talks but since chances of a solution through parleys had faded, it would be better for the people to wait for the Supreme Court order.
When asked whether the issue could be resolved before 2019, the Minister said: “I am very hopeful that the issue will be resolved amicably but I am in no position to give a date.”
