Yogi: Ensure tight security in temples across UP particularly Ayodhya

Temples seem to be occupying top priority of the newly-formed BJP Government with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath instructing officials to ensure foolproof security in temples across the State and ensure their cleanliness.

Security has already been strengthened ahead of Basant Navratri. Yogi also warned that any laxity in compliance of his orders will be taken seriously and concerned officers would have to face the music.

“The security apparatus of all temples, shaktipeeths and Devalayas particularly in Ayodhya, Vindhyachal, Devipatan, Shakumbhari (Saharanpur) etc will be strengthened and their overall security would be enhanced,” directed Yogi to all officers of district administrations and police in lucknow on Tuesday.

As per the State Government release issued on Tuesday, besides security, Yogi also asked officials to maintain cleanliness and ensure facilities to disciples thronging for darshan of deities on occasion of Basant Navratri. Yogi maintained that a large number of people throng temples during Navratra for ‘darshan’ so they should not face any problem whatsoever.

The release said that the Government would make available all basic and infrastructural facilities to the devotees which include drinking water, electricity, cleanliness and sanitation, proper medicines supply in Government hospitals etc.

It further said that proper barricading be ensured so that crowd could be controlled during an emergency and a tragedy could be averted.
