Former Union Minister Yashwant Sinha on Monday demanded a probe into Congress president Sonia Gandhi's son-in-law Robert Vadra's land deals, claiming the "fraud" into the deal was committed on a large-scale.
Favouring an investigation by agencies like the Serious Fraud Investigation Office, Sinha said this "fraud must be brought before the people of the country". "This is an issue of a fraud on a large-scale...This is a violation of all the laws and Robert Vadra has presented to this country and rest of the world a unique business model where you don't invest anything and end up making huge profits," Sinha said talking to the media persons in Parliament. Whistleblower IAS officer Ashok Khemka has alleged that Vadra "falsified documents" for 3.53 acres of land in Gurgaon and "pocketed" large premium on a commercial colony licence.
