Yadav Singh, who once came into the limelight in 2012 after raids by Income-Tax Department, had used his influence to dump the proposed enquiry into large scale irregularities made in the illegal allotment of 319 farmhouses in Greater Noida. Interestingly, the then District Magistrate of Noida, had recommended a probe into both farmhouse allocation scams —in Greater Noida as well as 153 farmhouses in NOIDA — but the present State Government, after much hue and cry, just ordered a probe into the NOIDA case and preferred to remain silent on the large scale irregularities made in Greater Noida. “When I was handed over the enquiry of irregularities in allotment of 153 farmhouses in NOIDA, I also went through the letter written by then DM of Noida, MKS Sundaram which pointed that rules were openly violated in allocation of 319 farmhouses in Greater Noida, in which recommendations have been made to enquire and fix the responsibility of officials of Irrigation Department who gave NOC despite of land belonging to Banks of Yamuna, as well against officials of Greater Noida,” confirmed lokayukt, NK Mehrorta.
