In a shocking incident, irked by regular spats with her husband, a woman slit the throat of her two children with a sharp-edged weapon in their sleep, killing one of them and grievously injuring the other at a village in Moradabad on Sunday. She later tried to end her life but was rescued by her neighbours who rushed the injured to the hospital.
As per reports, Preeti used to have regular fights with her husband, Devendra, over financial issues. On Sunday, some kin noticed two children lying in a pool of blood at their home at Ghosipura village of Katghar police station area and informed the police. One of the victims, Adarsh (4) died on the spot while Preeti and her elder son Daksh were rushed to a private medical facility in Pakhwara area.
The family members said that Devendra worked as a contractor at a firm and was getting delayed salary in recent months which resulted in frequent fights with Preeti with the latter insisting him to change his job.
