A 25-year-old married woman, Monika, died after falling from her fourth-floor home in North-East Delhi’s Harsh Vihar area on Monday night. Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim had delivered a baby girl a fortnight ago and the victim’s family has alleged dowry harassment by her husband.
A magisterial inquiry has been ordered. The victim’s brother in-law, Sugandh Chand, told police that Monika’s i 3-month deadline for 3 pc quota for differently-abledn-laws were not satisfied with the dowry given at the time of marriage.
