A man was poisoned by his wife, a Government employee and left at the Ram Manohar lohia hospital. Confirming the incident, Madhur Verma, DCP New Delhi said, " A PCR call was received on February 26 from the RMl hospital regarding hospitalisation of a man in unconscious condition. No external injuries were found."
During enquiry, The telephone number and the address of the person who admitted the deceased was later found incorrect. However she was traced down with the help of CCTV footage and registration no. of the car as Mrs KV Rama while the deceased was identified as D S Murti, her husband.
The officer said, "The brother of the deceased DVSS Siva Sarma was called from Warangal, Andhra Pradesh. later on after interrogation and sustained questioning Mrs Rama confessed of killing her husband by poisoning.
Following Mrs Rama's confession, DVSS Siva Sarma gave a complaint in this regard along with the confessional letter written by Mrs. Rama on Sunday."
A case has been registered under IPC sections 302, 120B and 201 at the Mandir Marg police station.
Verma further said, "Mrs KV Rama is being arrested along with an accomplice Shyam Singh alias Bhagat ji who is resident of Dakshinpuri and is a ‘Tantrik’ by profession and who provided this poison to Mrs. KV Rama,"
