Wine for waning liquor! Manjhi's gift to CM

Published on:

Making fun of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s announcement to ban only country-made liquor in rural areas and sell foreign liquor from Government outlets from April 1, former CM Jitan Ram Manjhi on Monday held a Press conference posing with a liquor bottle and saying its sale would have adverse effect on youths who will consume it.

Manjhi even said, “I will start a “wine for Nitish Government” agitation and from April 1, if total prohibition is not ordered, will send sealed and empty bottles of foreign liquor to Nitish and his Ministers. I will ask them to first get their own children drink this only then make it available to youths”. He said there had been wide suspicion over the Government’s prohibition policy and now it has proved it was a farce. “Several brands of wine have started pouring in the market and on the labels of the bottle it is written ‘for sale in Bihar only’. It will destroy the career of our children,” he alleged and demanded immediate ban on it.
