A municipal corporation worker and his friend allegedly raped a 42-year-old widow in West Delhi’s Rajouri Garden on the pretext of getting her a job. The victim has accused the men of repeatedly raping her for almost two years. However, she filed a complaint only on Saturday.
According to the police, the accused have not been arrested as the police are investigating the authenticity of the victim’s allegations. Senior officers have not revealed the names of the accused. However, they have said that the official was of inspector level. The alleged rapes took place in different hotels in central Delhi’s Karol Bagh, according to the woman’s complaint.
Similarly, two other incidents of rape took place in the Capital on Sunday. The second incident was reported from South Delhi’s Amar Colony, where a 29-year-old woman has alleged rape against an executive of a Gurgaon-based company on pretext of marriage. While the third incident was reported from Ashok Nagar area where a 15-year-old student was allegedly kidnapped and later raped by her tenant in Chilla village. The accused, identified as 19-year-old Dinesh Kumar, has been arrested after he brought the girl back.
