With him virtually becoming the epicentre of the ongoing IPl spot-fixing investigations, one more skeleton has tumbled out of late wrestler Dara Singh’s arrested son Vindoo Singh Randhawa.
It has now come to light that he was arrested a decade and half ago by the Mumbai Police along with three other actors in a criminal case.
Informed sources in the Mumbai police said that the Vile Parle police had arrested Vindoo, two male actors and an actress on charges of robbery and theft in 1999.
“Dressed in police uniforms Vindoo and two others had had committed a robbery. Together, they had decamped with cash and valuables worth over `25 lakh. The actress had also assisted them in the crime,” a senior IPS official said.
However, full details of the crime allegedly committed were not available. Nor could it be confirmed as to how Vindoo wriggled out of the case registered against him by the Vile Parle police 14 years ago.
