The valedictory session of Vigilance Awareness Week (VAW) 2026 at SAIL's Ranchi-based units was held at the Management Training Institute (MTI) on November 3, with emphasis on strengthening transparency, accountability and ethical practices in organisational functioning.
Former Director In-charge of Bokaro Steel Plant, B.K. Tiwari, attended the programme as the Guest of Honour.
The session began with a presentation by the General Manager (Vigilance) and Assistant Chief Vigilance Officer (ACVO) of SAIL's Ranchi-based units, outlining the activities conducted during Vigilance Awareness Week and the three-month campaign period. In his address, Tiwari elaborated on the theme of Vigilance Awareness Week 2026, “Probity for Prosperity”. He said ethical conduct and integrity were essential not only for organisational growth but also for building trust among stakeholders and contributing to the prosperity of citizens, society and the nation. He emphasised that adherence to ethical values at every level was vital for sustainable and inclusive development.
