Two police personnel allegedly gang-raped a 30-year-old woman on Tuesday night at gunpoint at Gageru village of Shamli district.
Reports said that constables Deepak Rathi and Vivek Choudhry, posted at Kandhla police station in Shamli reportedly barged inside the house of 30-year-old woman residing in the same locality on Tuesday night.They alleged to have raped the victim and later escaped after robbing the costly booty from the house.
The local police registered a case in this regard and sent a report to the seniors who placed both cops under suspension. The victim was also sent for medical examination and officers claimed that if charges are found to be true then both the police officials will be also arrested. Meanwhile, villagers staged a dharna demanding strict action against the constable duo who, according to Singh, have been sent to Police lines.
