Claims of the Telangana Police that two suspected SIMI fugitives were gunned down by them, who were behind the sensational triple murder and Rs50 lakh loot from an ATM in lucknow, seems to have fallen flat as primary investigation pointed that the claims made were purely on “suspicion” and there is no immediate corroborative evidence to substantiate it.
“We are in touch with the Telangana Police. The information collected so far during primarily investigation pointed that Telangana Police made claims in a haste and three is no corroborative evidence to substantiate the involvement of the two suspected SIMI fugitives killed by them in encounter,” said Director General of Police AK Jain, while revealing the development made by the UP Police so far.
“We have cross-checked the weapons, empty shells recovered from the site but the two failed to match,” claimed Jain adding that they will still refer to the reports of forensic experts before drawing any final conclusion.
